Scary goes pretty experimental with this impressive little EP/single/whatever-you-call-it. Acting as sort of a strange "bonus" to 2019's Birds, he goes to some funky places. Bobolink sounds meditative, Why Rocket is a catchy little piano ditty, but Hortense steals the show for me with how it sounds like the music is melting and collapsing in on itself. Even in his shorter releases, he never fails to impress. aependell
